Gearswap is a specialized peer-to-peer marketplace designed specifically for hockey goalies to buy and sell their equipment. In a niche where gear is highly technical and expensive, Gearswap provides a streamlined community hub for athletes to recycle their „armor.“

The Challenge Gearswap needed an onboarding video to guide hockey goalies through three key steps: registration, gear listing, and secure withdrawals. The visuals had to be professional and easily adaptable for future expansions into other sports.

The Strategy I developed a hybrid aesthetic in After Effects, layering dynamic UI animations over high-resolution static imagery of a hockey stadium. By decoupling the UI from the background, I created a modular template. This allows the client to swap the hockey rink for a soccer or baseball field in minutes without rebuilding the animation logic.
